Wonderful Wonderland - Year 6 Production Highlights - Yarrells School 🎶
Step into a world of imagination with highlights from the spectacular Year 6 production of Wonderland! Performed on Thursday 20th March, this magical musical brought together the incredible talents of our pupils in drama, music and dance.
Every Year 6 student took part in this much-loved annual tradition, performing not once, but three times to audiences of pupils, parents and staff. From colourful costumes to creative props, the entire show was a testament to the hard work, creativity and teamwork of everyone involved.
Based on the classic Alice in Wonderland tale, this version follows siblings who tumble down a rabbit hole into a fantastical world filled with talking mice, rushing rabbits, and Queenly threats of beheading! The performance was filled with fun, flair and unforgettable moments.
🎤 “At Yarrells, we get a taste of musical theatre, which is such an amazing opportunity,” said Charlotte, one of the young stars.
👏 Huge congratulations to all of our wonderful performers and a heartfelt thank you to the staff and parents who helped bring Wonderland to life.

This week, Year 1 and Year 3 enjoyed an extra computing lesson to share their work together.
Year 1 enjoyed playing on the games and learning about the code before they start their coding topic next term.
Year 3 have been busy programming their own interactive games on Discovery Education during computing lessons this term. The pupils used their coding skills to include key and button controls alongside mouse sensor detection to move their characters.
Well done to all the pupils and it was lovely to see the pupils celebrating their work and having fun together.

Castles and Crowns Day! 👑
Today, our Year 1's were transported back in time for an unforgettable Castles and Crowns Day! Dressed as noble members of the castle household, they stepped into the magical world of The Sword in the Stone.
From an exciting drama workshop with Mrs Green where they built castles and retold the legendary tale to crafting their own royal crowns and creating junk-model castles, the day was brimming with creativity, fun, and laughter! 🏰
